NEW FOR Fall 2020: walk-in appointments with Global Writing & Speaking Fellows!

Do you have quick questions about a writing assignment? Need to know how to cite something properly? Want to check if your thesis statement is strong?

From 2pm to 4pm, Monday-Friday, you can simply walk-in to the Library Reference Desk to meet with a Fellow - no appointment necessary. Each session will be limited to 20 minutes, so please book a regular appointment if you anticipate needing more time. Otherwise, come on over to the walk-in desk at the Library Reference Desk on the 4th floor, Main Academic Building.

Welcome to the Academic Resource Center (ARC) at NYUSH! To get started, register for an account with your NYU email address by clicking the link to the left. Then, log in and make an appointment.

Writing & Speaking Fellows are available to work on writing, reading, speaking, studying, and listening skills in one-on-one appointments lasting about 45 minutes each. If you are unable to make an appointment, you can also walk in to see if there's an open spot due to a cancellation. You can have a full session if an open time slot allows, or just drop by for a quick question.

STEM, Business, Economics, IMA, and Chinese Language Learning Assistants are available to provide course-specific academic support for students enrolled in NYU Shanghai courses in and out of the classroom. Whether to deepen your understanding of difficult materials, to maximize your GPA, or to engage in a structured weekly practice, tutoring can help you develop the skills you need to independently and successfully achieve your course goals. Make an appointment with an ARC LA on WCOnline and refer to this guide on how to schedule an appointment. Walk-ins are also welcome.

PLEASE READ BELOW TO SEE THE ACADEMIC RESOURCE CENTER EXPECTATIONS, STANDARDS, AND CANCELLATION POLICIES.
